Your recipient can receive the money in three main ways:
- Mobile Wallet – If they use MTN MoMo or Airtel Money (in Uganda or other supported countries), the money can be sent directly to their mobile wallet. They’ll get a notification once it’s available.
- Cash Collection – They can collect the money in cash at a Mukuru branch, authorised booth, or retail partner. They’ll need a voucher number (sent via SMS or WhatsApp) and their ID.
- Mukuru App or WhatsApp – If they have a smartphone, they can use the Mukuru Customer App or WhatsApp to manage their transactions, track the money, and choose how to receive it.
