The Mukuru Wallet provides a simple and convenient way for you to check your balance. This feature allows you to view the available balances in both your Transactional and Mahala pockets. Here is a detailed overview of the process:
Steps to Check Balance
You can check your balance by following the below steps:
1. Select "Wallet"
2. Sign into your wallet by entering your 5-digit PIN
3. Select "Check balance"
The available balances for both the Transactional and Mahala pockets will be displayed. The addition of the two pockets gives the total wallet balance. For example, if the Transactional Pocket has USD 1142.49 and the Mahala Pocket has USD 19, the total wallet balance would be USD 1161.49.
Transacting Based on Balances
You can select to transact based on the balances available in your pockets. If one pocket does not have sufficient balance to cover the required transaction, you can perform a pocket transfer to move funds from the Mahala Pocket into the Transactional Pocket.
