A payment reference is a unique identifier assigned to a transaction. It helps Mukuru, our partners, the sender and the recipient track and identify the payment.
Trying to pay for an order but it says that the reference is incorrect or system is offline?
Retailers have limits as to how much can be paid in for an order, please ensure that you ONLY go to the retailer you chose as a Pay-in method when creating your order. If you go to any other retailer except the one you chose as a Pay-in method and the amount exceeds the limits of that retailer, you will receive an error message saying that the reference number is incorrect or offline. Please make payment at the retailer you chose as a Pay-in method for your order.
