Why would I need to upgrade my KYC level?
Upgrading your KYC level raises the maximum total transaction value your account can handle per month or year. The limits for each level are as follows:
- KYC Lite: R2000 per month limit
- KYC Core: R25000 per month limit
- KYC Max Foreign: 12 times your monthly income per year
- KYC Max SA: R1,000,000 per year
How do I upgrade my KYC limit?
To upgrade or update your Mukuru account, please send a clear picture of your ID/passport, proof of income, and proof of residence to the email address verificationsupport@mukuru.com. This process will take 24 to 48 working hours.
Alternatively, you can upgrade or update your Mukuru account on WhatsApp:
- Select > My Account
- Select > Increase My Sending Limits
- Choose > Increase My Limits
- Then follow the instructions shown to upgrade your limits.
