What Does It Mean to Reset My Mukuru Card PIN?
Resetting your Mukuru Card PIN means changing your current PIN to a new one.
Reasons to Reset Your Mukuru Card PIN
You may need to reset your PIN for several reasons:
Security concerns – if you suspect someone else knows your PIN.
Forgotten PIN – if you can’t remember your current PIN.
Lost or stolen card – to protect your account.
When resetting your 5-digit PIN, you’ll first need to enter your 4-digit PIN to view your card details. There you’ll find an option to reset your 5-digit PIN.
Reset Your 5-Digit PIN via SMS
You will receive an SMS with your new PIN after completing these steps. First, send an SMS to 34246 with your ID or Passport number and the last four digits of your Mukuru Card (make sure there is a space between them). You’ll then get an SMS with a code and instructions to create a new 5-digit PIN. Next, send another SMS to 34246 with the code and your chosen new PIN, again leaving a space between the two. All steps must be completed within 30 minutes, and standard SMS rates apply.
