Methods to Deposit, Top Up and Load Money onto Your Mukuru Card
1. Using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT): Follow these steps to obtain your EFT details:
Follow these steps in our WhatsApp menu +2786 001 8555 on WhatsApp or dial *130*566#.
- Select "Mukuru Card."
- Enter your PIN.
- Choose "EFT Account details."
You will receive the following details to use for EFT deposits into your Mukuru Card:
- Bank Name: Access Bank
- Account Number: (your unique 11-digit Mukuru Money Number)
- Branch Code: 410506
2. Wi Code deposit via WhatsApp or USSD:
Follow these steps to create a Wi Code cash deposit on WhatsApp or dial *130*566#:
- Select "Mukuru Card."
- Enter your PIN.
- Choose "Deposit Cash."
- Enter the amount you want to deposit (minimum R100, maximum R5000).
- You will receive a list of our partners where you can deposit the cash, along with their fees. Select "Accept" to receive an Order number and a Wi Code to use at the partner location to deposit your cash. You have 72 hours to complete the deposit. Note that there is a R5000 daily deposit limit when topping up at one of our retail partners.
3. At a Mukuru Branch: You can load money to your Mukuru Card at a Mukuru Branch. Bring your valid passport or South African ID, and our friendly staff will assist you with topping up your card.
4. Receiving Deposits from Another Mukuru Card: You can also load money onto your Mukuru Card by receiving a deposit from another Mukuru Card.
