How do I sign up for the Mukuru Wallet?
To sign-up for a Mukuru Wallet you need to register with Mukuru and provide required KYC (Know Your Customer) documents, such as an ID, driver's license, or passport and address.
Once registered, you can activate the wallet via USSD or WhatsApp by following the below steps:
1. Select "Wallet" on the Mukuru platform.
2. Select "Opt In" to activate your wallet.
Once you’ve opted in and accepted the wallet terms and conditions, you will also be guided on how to create a 5-digit PIN that will be used to access the wallet and keep it secure. Once you have created your Mukuru Wallet you can load money into your Mukuru Wallet by visiting your nearest Mukuru Branch and safely send money locally or internationally —all from the comfort of your phone!
