How can I repay the loan?
You can repay your Mukuru loan by using your Mukuru Card on WhatsApp.
However, in order to get a Mukuru Card you need to be a registered Mukuru Core Customer. You can register by following the below steps:

Step 1: Type “BYE” to end the current chat. This will take you back to the main menu from where you will be able to follow the next step below.
✅ Step 2: Sign Up with Mukuru by selecting Select "Sign up for Mukuru!" and follow the prompts
Start by registering at the Lite KYC level. This gets you into the Mukuru system and sets you up for more benefits.
Documents required for Lite KYC:
Your South African ID or valid passport 2
Basic personal details (captured during sign-up)
🔓 Step 3: Upgrade to Mukuru Core
Submit your supporting documents to upgrade to Mukuru Core. This gives you access to get a Mukuru Card, which is essential for loan eligibility.
Documents required for Mukuru Core:
Your South African ID or valid passport (same as Lite, but verified for Core level)
In some cases, proof of address may be requested depending on your transaction limits
💸 Step 4: Apply for Your Loan
With your Mukuru Card in hand, you can apply for a Mukuru Fast Loan ranging from R500 to R2,000, with a 30-day repayment term—all through our WhatsApp self-service channel. Do note that you need to have been registered with a Mukuru Card for more than 3 months and regularly receive money onto your Mukuru Card.
